Canada Cooperatives Act
The Canada Cooperatives Act is legislation that regulates most federal cooperatives. It only applies to a cooperative that carries on its undertaking in two or more provinces and has a fixed place of business in more than one province. Sections 352 to 358 contain special provisions for non-profit housing cooperatives that are similar, albeit less detailed, than those found in the Ontario Co-operative Corporations Act.
